Finally, 2020 is going to be a remarkable year not just due to pandemic but a revolution in the history of education. “Education is only the weapon through which we can change the world” for millions of us.

After years of waiting, India has a new education policy after 3 decades. A revolutionary step taken by our reputed government is welcome wholeheartedly by every citizen of the country who was waiting for ages.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved New Education Policy 2020- Transforming Education that aims to the overall country’s education system

Let’s see in short what this new policy has to offer us: -

1.      Early Childhood Care and Education (ensure student entering Class 1 are school ready)

2.      Equitable and Inclusive Education (support for girls, transgenders, Divyangs)

3.      Promote Multilingualism (high-quality books in mother tongue)

4.      New Curricular and Pedagogical Structure (a.10+2 structure to 5+3+3+4 model). (b. Flexibility in choice of Subjects) (c. Integration of Vocational and academic streams.)

5.      Assessment Reforms (Summative assessment to Regular Formative Assessment).

6.      Teacher Recruitment (National Professional Standards for teacher)

7.      Higher Education (Under-Graduation to be 3-4 years with multiple entry/exit with appropriate certification.)

8.      Academic Bank of Credits (Students credits will be stored digitally to help students continue education.)

9.      National Research Foundation (Expand research and innovation opportunities)

10. Technology in Education (National Education Technology Forum for ideas on the use of tech.)

Moving on, let’s understand these points a little deeper: -

What is 5+3+3+4 model?

Earlier, the pattern was 10+2, the syllabus of 11th and 12th were far different from what we learned till the 10th. But from now onwards the system 10+2 is going to

·        5- (playschool, nursery, K.G, 1st, and 2nd in which students will learn their language, especially their regional language and also they will learn to read and write).

·        3- (3rd, 4th, and 5th class) students will be taught along with sports.

·        3- (6th, 7th, and 8th class) coding will be mandatory in class 6th to inculcate logical thinking in young minds. Further, they will be introduced with other subjects like English, history, science and many more in the 6th 7th 8th class. Vocational Subjects will be added.

Various projects related to topics will be allotted to each child to enhance

·        4- (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th class) government says there will be no rigid difference in streams.

The burden of the 11th and 12th syllabus will get distributed on the 9th and 10th.

Students are free to select their subjects i.e., students from the science stream can add political science subjects in his academics.

Extra-curricular subjects will also be counted as the main subjects.

From now onwards, students will not get a pass on the basis of February and March examination but monthly assessments or formative assessment will play a key role.

Every month exams will be conducted on the basis of practical knowledge more than the theoretical therefore questions will be more objective than descriptive which clearly means no cramming of topics only who have knowledge that will score high.

So this is all about this model which also covers point number 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Teacher Recruitment -Teachers will be recruited through the process

Higher Education: - This program is very beneficial for UG students, in case if you are not able to continue your next year or 2nd-year studies then you can quit and college will provide you the 1-year Certificate

In case you drop after 2nd year then college will provide you an Advance Diploma

After 3rd year Bachelor's Degree

4 year  Bachelor's Degree with Research.

Academic Bank of Credit:if somehow you are unable to continue your students so by the time in whatever exams you appeared in the particular academic year the college will save it in the form of credits digitally.

National Research Foundation: - Now anyone from any stream has an innovative idea in tech, the National research foundation will fund the project, earlier only science students were only benefitted with this.

Technology in Education: - Virtual labs, e classes, and courses will be promoted.

These are the pointers that have been set up by keeping in mind to promote the talent but before promoting, the aim is to inculcate the talent in each young mind. The new policy has been set up to end the evil of cramming and scoring rather embedding the notion of learning, applying, and progressing. Doesn’t look like a dream come true?

It will take years to establish this policy at every small region of India but if done honestly then the days are no longer far when the population will not be curse unemployment will be rare and every house will have an innovative mind and we could proudly say “ache din aagye”!!

Change is the law of nature. COVID-19 has brought unexpected and unavoidable changes in our life. Man is a social animal, but COVID-19 forced him to act individually. Every coin has its two faces in the same manner if the culture of work from home is like a silver lining in the dark cloud of Corona crisis then the improper routine of the day has also brought us the grey sky of back pain, obesity, eye strain, and several other mental health problems.

Improper routine and avoiding physical activity from months can gradually lead to several health problems at home like: -

Posture deformities: - All comfort means free from chair and desk job amid work from home or study from home that leads to posture deformities. Initially, we don’t realize it under our comfort but gradually symptoms appear like: - back pain, muscle cramps, or strains.

Obesity: - Obesity is a condition in which the amount of fat in the body increases to a very large extent. There are many causes of obesity such as excessive food, lack of physical exercise, thyroid, hereditary.

Hypertension: -  Staying at one place all the time, not going out for refreshment of mind, the tension of several things like job, and not performing physical activity leads to Hypertension and sometimes Panic attacks.

The only solution to all the problems is ‘YOGA’ which needs no specific place, center, or class to perform. All you need is an empty place and a mat and a bit of knowledge to perform correct asanas for your body.

Let’s brief ourselves with the term Yoga and asanas

What is Yoga, where was it originated?

·         Joining of atman with parmataman

·         Joining soul with super soul

·         Joining body with mind

·         Joining mind with soul

What is asana?

Asana is a Sanskrit term which is often translated as “posture” or “pose.” The asana is a gentle reminder of your body’s ability to heal itself.

Yoga just not improves your posture but enhances your immunity power.

There are specific asanas for particular problems and all asanas are not for everyone, anyone suffering from slip disk, gone through any surgery or pregnant ladies has to take precautions and consult experts before performing any asanas to prevent any casualty. The challenges for banks isn't becoming "digital" -- it is providing value that is perceived to be in line with the cost--or better yet, providing value that consumers are comfortable paying for_Ron Shevlin

Modernization is incomplete without digitalization after this pandemic everyone is rushing from physical transactions to digital but for that, you need a bank account. Now the question arises

v Which type of bank account you must open?

v In which bank so that you can evade from irrelevant charges that bank charge on your monthly transaction?

v Which type of account will give you maximum interest on your deposited fund?

But before that, you need to understand What is the basic difference between Saving Account and Current Account?

  • In saving account, you get limited transaction. i.e. You can withdraw the amount 4 or 6 times only in a month. Above it, the bank will charge some amount on it. Whereas the Current account allows you multiple transactions in a month.
  • Current Account also provides you Over Draft facility i.e., if you ever sign a check of 2.5 Lakh and you have 1.5 Lakh in your account, the check won’t bounce because the bank provides you overdraft of 1 lakh and your cheque will be cleared. This type of loan which does not require any guarantor in overdraft, is also termed as an Unsecured Loan. (P.S: - this type of facility is only given to those account holders whose monthly transactions are good)
  • Current account also got flaw like current account do not give any Interest whereas Saving account does give you Interest.

How are the same products available on club factory is cheaper than Flipkart?

Which mantra lead club factory to the 3rd most downloaded shopping app leaving behind AJIO and MYNTRA in India?

What helps them to grow faster in a short period?

There are bundles of questions when we think about the growth of Chinese e-commerce in such a short period than any other e-commerce site. But who decides their growth?

Consumers!

A survey was conducted by local circles which says, 83% of 8,973 Indians prefer Chinese products over Indian as they believe they are cheaper.

But is only the cheap cost attracted such huge traffic on their platform?

User First or Citizen?

Nobody questioned the government when it declared ‘Right to privacy’ as a fundamental right in 2017 but ironically when the government banned “59 Chinese apps” which was violating one’s privacy in 2020, users are flooded with questions like: -

What is the difference between Chinese apps and any other apps ?

 Why ban Chinese apps only?

First of all, banning these apps is not only the result of constant conflict on the border with this country but there are more issues with these apps that provoke the high alert to take such big decision to ban 59 Chinese apps including TikTok from India.

Tiktok and UC browser has 12 crores, active users, alone in India. After banning them, the head of the Tiktok India, Nikhil Gandhi wrote a letter to the government of India in which he mentions few important words like - democracy, integrity, user privacy, and also not sharing any data with any foreign government including the Chinese government.

But I would like to know when anything said against or criticized China on TikTok then why the word or sentence get muted in the video and sometimes even removed from that platform?

Is this democratic?

Democracy is itself a big word that gives freedom to the people and this is how they are giving them the freedom to express their views?

Moving on, we don’t decide what we want to see on TikTok because we don’t have that option there then who decides what we see on TikTok?

Tiktok is completely controlled by an algorithm and the algorithm decides what we see there. But have you ever noticed that you don’t get to see the videos of other regions or states or countries frequently but more likely the videos are from your nearby places then how come they know your location even when you have not shared your location with them?

As it is mentioned earlier that algorithm controls everything so it directly traces your location from your SIM card/IP address. Whereas other apps like: - Arogyasetu app doesn’t trace your location until you don’t allow it.

Doing the things against the permission of the user,

Is this democratic?

Coming to the most important point, user’s data sharing. Do we ever wonder that Where are TikTok user’s data stored?

Going back to 2017, China passed a law called ‘National Intelligence Law’ according to which any foreign company wants to operate in China, has to enter into JV with a local company, and have to share all the data with them. So the entire data of Chinese apps or which are associated with China like PUBG, are all stored or shared with the Chinese government. That means all of our data is stored outside of India.

Where is democracy in this?

Where is an individual’s privacy?

Unfortunately, still few unaware users demand to get back this evil in the country, doing this they sound more of a Chinese apps’ users first and then the country’s citizens.
